Jewelry Materials & Care Guide
Materials + Care
Our jewelry is handcrafted in small batches using precious metals. Each piece is hand finished, so slight variations in tone may occur. All pieces are hypoallergenic and made for everyday wear with proper care.
Gold Vermeil
A thick layer of 14k or 18k gold over .925 sterling silver (minimum 2.5 microns).
With wear, the gold layer will gradually fade and reveal the silver underneath. This can vary based on exposure, skin chemistry, and wear. This is normal and not a defect.
Re-plating can restore the finish. Service available in Barbados.
Care
-
Avoid water, sweat, and chemicals
- Remove before showering, sleeping, or exercising
- Put jewelry on last
- Store dry, in an airtight pouch
- Clean gently with a soft cloth
Gold Filled
A thicker layer of gold bonded to a base metal, more durable than standard plating.
It can still darken or lose brightness over time depending on exposure and skin chemistry. This is normal and not a defect.
Professional cleaning or re-plating can restore it.
Care
- Avoid perfumes, lotions, oils, and chemicals
- Remove before water or physical activity
- Store dry and airtight
- Clean with mild soap, water, and a soft cloth
Gold-Plated Sterling Silver

- Clean gently, no harsh rubbing
- Store dry and airtight
